STEM-tastic Fun That Actually Clicks (Literally)
I got the Klutz LEGO Gear Bots Kit for my boyfriend’s 11-year-old who’s super into STEM, and it was an instant hit. He dove right in, totally focused, and actually explained how the gears worked to me like a mini engineer. The kit is the perfect mix of learning and fun, building cool bots while understanding real mechanics. It’s hands-on, screen-free, and feels like playtime disguised as education (or maybe the other way around). The instructions are clear, and the projects are just challenging enough to keep kids engaged without feeling frustrated. Great birthday gift.
My son got Gear Bots as a birthday present, and it was a huge hit! The building process was engaging, and the instructions were easy to follow, even for younger kids. It’s a great mix of creativity and learning—teaches basic engineering concepts while letting kids build their own moving robots. The parts are sturdy, and the final creations are really fun to play with. My son loved it.

Cute kit
This was such a cute kit for my 12yr old son. He can reuse the material that came with the kit to make other bot models. He really enjoyed it. It came with quite a lot.

Not great
Instructions were a bit difficult for a 7 year old who is very good with Legos. The paper craft is very flimsy and doesn’t really stay. My kid ended up making his own thing and had fun with it.
