Buy It!
Perfect gift. Love this edition best. Very artistic, fun pages inside great for boys and girls (a bit skewed toward girls, one page is just coloring a girl). Overall, sturdy pages and fun gift.

My granddaughter whom is 7 loved this. Even my 17 year old daughter thought is was fantastic. I totally approve of this also. Painting skills don't have to be professional and the mess was minimum. I was able to set up and instruct my granddaughter and she was able to maintain the rest of by herself. She is really independent anyway buy I didn't have to hover worry about a mess or having to monitor how much paint to was pouring out. Pictures in this book are so adorable and they are perforated for easy tear out. The only thing that would of been nice is a way to put them back in the little book for safe keeping.

Fantastic, portable, great for kids
Lots of fun doing these with my 5-year-old. It occupies us both for a long time. Bring a small jar of water and an extra brush with you to the beach or the park and you're set! I've bought many of these for gifts too.

Perfect
Exactly what I was looking for as my 7 year old requested watercolors this Christmas. Simple designs to paint, tips and tricks for beginners to learn the technique of watercoloring. Thick pages so it won’t seep through even though we have definitely used a lot of water on it. Heck even I have sat down and painted a page. Very enjoyable

Not in love with the paints
The book is great and has great painting sheets but the pints that come with this set are awful. Get better paints to use with this book.

Not only for beginners
My teen daughter loves to color but doesn't like most books because of the small and crazy amount of details. These are simpler designs, but beautiful. The paper weight is excellent. She uses her alcohol markers, rather than the provided watercolors, and they don't bleed through like so many of the other books. Highly recommend for anyone of any age.

This is a great painting book for beginners!! It comes with paint and a paintbrush. I bought one for myself and one for my daughter, so we can do our paintings together!! Great for kids and adults!!

93 year old Mom LOVES this book
My Mom, 93 years old, lives in a nursing home. She talked about art class and watercolor painting and how much she enjoyed it. She was sad because the art teacher was going on maternity leave for a year and she didn't think they'd have painting class again. I searched Amazon and found this set and another one like it and sent them to her. She absolutely loves these books, I can hear it in her voice how happy she is now that she can paint whenever she wants to. And she's actually proud of her results. She's had the books for a few weeks now and every time we talk she tells me how thankful she is. I'm thankful she found something she likes to do to keep her busy and to pass the time away. 93 years old--never too old to try something new!
