Perfect starter baby doll for a toddler.
I bought this for my daughter's 2nd birthday. It is adorable and yes, small. However, I feel like it will be the perfect size for her. I added a great value water bottle for size. Opening the package was easy. It is held down by the plastic tags but none of them were attached to the baby or its clothes. I pre-opened the package for convenience for her birthday and it repackaged easily. If my daughter does become attached to it I do like the fact it's small enough I can toss it in the diaper bag without shoving. It seems to be of good quality, the clothes are softer than a dollar store dolls would be and I didn't notice any off-putting smell or off gassing but also I didnt go inhaling the thing so don't quote me on that if your sensitive to that sort of thing.

Good things come in small packages.
This doll is great. I don't know why it has any reviews less than 5 stars. The packaging is suitable for gifting. The doll is 9.5" as advertised, which is small and for me that just added to the charm of it. The outfit is adorable and there weren't any holes in the fabric because of the way it was attached to the box. I love this little doll.

Regarding the 1 star reviews based on size...some reading comprehension required before reviewing
Just received this doll from Amazon tonight. Am leaving it in its pkg. for my grandson to open on Thanksgiving, but it is exactly as pictured and described by manufacturer - adorable, sweet-faced and very small, 9.5 in. Regarding the 1 star reviews based on size, unless all THREE elements of the product descriptions changed dramatically between the time you bought it and I bought it (Nov.14, 2017), you have little reading comprehension and therefore have no business writing reviews for any product. Currently, the size of the doll is stated in 3 different areas: the title of the product "Mini La Newborn Boutique - Realistic 9.5" Anatomically Correct Real Boy Baby Doll dressed in BLUE – All Vinyl Open Mouth Designed by Berenguer – Made in Spain". Further down the page, in the product and manufacturer's description, it states, "The doll is 9.5” long and weighs less than 1lb". Below that, in the product info section that gives shipping weight, etc, the first line again gives product dimensions "9.5 x 3 x 9.5 inches". What more can the manufacturer and Amazon do to provide you the buying facts you need to make a decision? Oh wait, there is another section further below titled "Customer questions & answers". Imagine that! I apologize (somewhat) for the attitude, but I'm so tired of seeing product ratings downgraded simply because of customer laziness.

Adorable!
This doll is adorable, but it is very tiny! We ended up returning it for a 15" doll for a 2-year-old. We did stick with the same company, however, because these dolls are very detailed and pretty. They're all good choices--just be sure you think carefully about the size. Also, be aware that these dolls have vinyl bodies rather than cloth, so they aren't squishy-huggable. Again, that's not a problem, but make sure that's what you're looking for.

Beautiful Baby Girl Doll
Hello Friends, I purchased this baby doll for my 2 year old daughter. I love it and so does she. Some elements that make this baby doll so great for the hands of a 2 year old are first and foremost it's size. It's small enough for her to cradle and light enough for her to take on outings. The face of the doll is very precious and the eyes are gentle. My daughter takes great care of this little baby doll and loves to pamper her. I rated the toy mostly four stars because the hat which comes with the doll does not really stay on well. Unfortunately we lost it the first couple of days after we welcomed the doll into our home. That was a little upsetting because the cost of the doll was a little on the high end. I was a little weary about spending money on a doll like this for a 2 year old, but what I've found is that having one or two dolls of excellent quality is worth the investment because they will continue to last and more then likely become a favorite. The dolls we have that are of lesser quality and cheaper are just not as easy to handle, clean or play with for a little girl who is two. Another thing is it's a bit difficult to find a change of clothing for a baby doll this size, and I am still trying to find some so that we can vary her play with the doll. Please reply to this review if you have any suggestions about that. Finally, I personally do not have a problem with the fact that this baby is anatomically correct. She is giving my daughter the identity she needs to find as a little girl. When we "change" the babies diaper (we use my daughters micro preemie diapers we kept from her stay in the NICU), my daughter sees that this doll is like her and that makes it feel more real in some ways. The torso of the baby is so beautifully molded that I am amazed at how realistic some of it's features really are. I think this baby doll has a lot of lovely physical features, and is great for a toddler despite the cost. Let me add that my daughter was a 2 lb preemie. When I first opened the box and removed the baby doll, I so wanted to cuddle it as I did my daughter. She was very close to this size at birth (just had longer legs), and the realistic features of the baby are to say the least exceptional for the value. Realistic lifelike doll
A very cute little doll with lifelike features. I almost bought the boy version by mistake for my granddaughter. Be advised there are male and female versions of this doll that look very similar. They are anatomically correct. These dolls are a bit pricey but worth the extra money. I am very happy with the purchase and my 3 yr old granddaughter loves her baby!

Faccino particolarmente simpatico
Onestamente quando ho acquistato questa piccola bambola pensavo fosse qualche centimetro più grande, anche se di poco. Ma in verità non ne sono rimasta affatto delusa perché la piccola (non piccolissima, comunque) dimensione é compensata dall'ottima fattura del prodotto. Ben curato nei dettagli e con un faccino particolarmente simpatico. Mia nipote lo ha amato da subito.

It’s small but really well made! Love it!
It’s so cute and so detailed! I got it for my daughter’s 3rd birthday, and it was a win! She loved it ???? ! I’m quite picky when choosing toys for her, and this baby is in my top list. It’s really well made and adorable compare to all the other dolls out there. I have to say it’s a great find in now days poor quality doll market.
