Great Mother's Day gifts
All the mothers loved these wind spinners. In every case the spinners were deployed the same day! They are certainly nice to look at and spin easily in just a zephyr. You may need a dab of silicone oil on the spinner shaft to promote low-noise spinning. The spinner rotates easily on its horizontal shaft. But the spinner assembly does not rotate on the vertical shaft that goes into the ground. So depending on the density of your soil, the spinner may not "face" the wind as the wind changes direction; it's not like a weather vane. I've had other spinners with this dual axis feature. However, for the great value, looks and function (so far) of these spinners, I am happy to recommend them. Best

You Spin Me Right Round
I must be part-Dutch or Texan because I love windmills and things that spin in the wind. All kidding aside, the In the Breeze Small 6-Petal Rainbow Dazy Garden Spinner (ITBS6PRDGS) is a durable little garden spinner and it looks nice, especially when the wind is blowing. The petals are made of a durable polyester fabric that has retained its color (going on 9 months) despite constant sunbaths and winter rainstorms. Also the rod that holds the spinner upright is pretty sturdy. Nonetheless, in the way that all good things have a weak point, such as the Human Torch and asbestos, alcohol and hangovers, spicy Mexican food and Montezuma's revenge... the primary weak point of the ITBS6PRDGS is the end cap that connects the spinning petal to the rod that can make the whole thing fall apart with a strong gust of wind. However, there is a workaround to this weakness... Krazy Glue! Highly recommended unless you want your investment to be "gone with the wind"! I got my glue at my local dollar store for a buck. The sad thing though is when I was at the 99¢ Only Store in my neighborhood, I noticed they were selling cheaper garden spinners for a buck. But to be fair, the quality of the ITBS6PRDGS is far superior to its cheaper rivals. I just wish the 17-inch rod was a little longer (that's what she said!), since you need to plant a good six inches of the rod into the soil to make it sturdy. Time to go listen to Dead Or Alive as I watch my ITBS6PRDGS spin in the wind. You spin me right round baby right round like a record baby right round round round...

These work great. I have purchased other brands and the petals fall off in the wind. These are holding up well!

Pretty but....
Very small and low to the ground. In addition to the flower spinning, the post spins in the ground so the flower is never pointing in the same direction. Most annoying. Would not buy another one. They make larger ones which are better.

Just as described, they look so pretty spinning in my garden. Doesn’t take much more than a slight breeze to make them spin.

Gorgeous bright colours! Work beautifully in even very light breezes.
Bought these to put outside mom's apartment so she could see if the wind was blowing before she dressed for her daily walks. They spin with the slightest breeze, and provide a beautiful bunch of colour. We "planted" them in terra cotta pots with a little cement, then rocks and dirt .... very pretty nestled into the bark mulch yard. Cannot comment on longevity yet. They are brand new.
