I recently purchased this colorful puzzle as a Mother's Day gift for my Mom. She's loved puzzles for many years. Recently, she and I noticed how bright, colorful, and challenging jigsaw puzzles have become -- No more boring sceneries. No more cutsy kitties, puppies, or clowns. No more nameless architectural structures. Nowadays, assembling jigsaws is akin to solving the Riddle of Life, finding an actual black hole, and answering the age-old question of which came first, the chicken or the egg. In other words, jigsaw puzzles have become much more challenging, thought provoking, and just plain fun! Springbok Company offers some of the best puzzles and subjects, and their quality is outstanding. Pieces fit well and are never missing, especially the first time out. And, pieces have sturdy, heavyweight construction that endures many attempts at assembling. So, when Mom opened up her puzzle gift, I knew it would be a big hit. And it was! Right now, this very puzzle, with all it's rainbow-inspired colored pencils reflecting more color onto the surface of a water puddle, is in the first stages of becoming another notch in my Mom's puzzler belt. Jigsaws are a hot ticket item at our house, but who really cares. As long as they keep providing entertainment, analytical thinking, and the good feeling of accomplishment, quality jigsaw puzzles like those from Springbok will be on our game table, kitchen table, basement floor, in the garage, in the spare room, under the bed, in the closet.... :-)
