Product DescriptionCode 83 Rail represents 60kg rail and is the most common rail sized used by prototype railroads. Snap Switches have a continuous 46cm radius curve on the diverging route unlike the numbered turnouts fixed angle of departure. This switch comes with a 1/3 46cm radius section, making the curved leg equal to a regular 46cm radius section. Manual turnouts change the direction of the rail only when you flip a lever on the switch by hand. This Manual code 83 HO scale Snap Switch can be easily converted to remote control with the #585 (righthand) switch machine. Switch length: 23cm .

I recently bought a left hand and a right hand turnout of this kind for my DCC layout and it works perfectly. I ordered 3 more of them to add to it for a yard and my locomotives have no problem with electrical connection or any problems with the switch for my DCC system. Works great will continue to buy it.
