Like building blocks and a marble run in one toy
I had to write a review because I was really concerned about all the reviews saying they have marble runs are unstable and frustrating for younger kids My two and three year olds have been having a blast with this. I have to help them with setup to do the whole run as pictured, but they didn't knock it over nearly as much as some reviews had me expecting. I was actually the first one to knock it over, and my two year old knocked out over twice over the course of a few play sessions throughout the day. My three year old never knocked it over, even after putting marbles in the top repeatedly for almost an hour. This is a fun, well-made toy that incorporates more building elements into the marble run genre of toys. Like blocks, that means it can be knocked over. But kids deserve more credit than we often give them -- they can be surprisingly nimble with their little hands and can demonstrate more patience and concentration than many adults I run into.

I've bought Hape products for a long time. Why? They are toys that are well-made, fun for kids, and classic. I enjoy buying my grandchildren classic toys that will last for generations... and I believe this is one of them.

Best 4YO Birthday Gift Ever
After reading reviews complaining about Hape's stability during setup and play, I was a nervous to buy but glad I did. The system's main blocks and tracks are wood and the support pieces (e.g., marble stoppers, catchers, ramps, height extensions) are a durable plastic. I warned the kiddo that the system could fall as we build it or while playing with it and he simply replied, "if it falls, we'll just build it again." And that's the spirit you need with this because it will wobble and fall but that's been part of the fun. Totally worth it to see my 4yo come up with a better solution (than me or the instructions) for making a run work. Love the many configurations and recommend against gluing pieces together as some reviews suggest and just rolling with the nature of the system.

A little unstable for little ones
It was a hit Christmas morning for the 3 year old! Teen cousins helped set it up and she loves it. A little unstable towards the top so she had to slow down dropping marbles, otherwise good fun!

Wonderful
Honestly I don't know why this company's marble runs aren't higher on Amazon's list. Granted, it's true what other reviewer's say about the lack of sturdiness of the product, but if you use a tabletop or less trafficked floor space, it isn't so bad. The thing I love is the design of the pieces - each color has a different flow design, which means you can follow the recommended configurations or get your STEM on and create your own. I wouldn't recommend this for very young children buy from about 7-8 years up to adult it's great.

Sturdy and great quality
Our 4 year old granddaughter played for ours with this marble run on Christmas day. Her marble run never fell over. So glad we did not by the plastic ones. The wood pieces are beautiful. There are a few non toxic plastic pieces with this set and they are well made. Very happy with this purchase.

GREAT QUALITY
I don't know why the heck I even bothered with crappy plastic marble runs in the first place. This one is a stark contrast to the ones we'd wasted money on. If you're trying to find a marble run in hopes to laugh & bond with your kids, here it is. If you wanna rip your hair out, grab a plastic one.

Great for any kid
The colour blocks and the play by build with app made it easy for my 3 1/5 year old to build it but needed help with direction of the holes. I believe we all need a test run to get it right. Best marble run out there

WOW!
Such wow! My 3y/o appreciate this toy very much. Would buy again 10 out of 10 times if it would break somehow, however, the quality is suplime so it doesnt break. I strongly recommend this toy.

Good wooden marble toy
It is a very good product made for the 90% by wood and my son is enjoying it a lot. Overall is a good product and we are happy with it, probably we will expand it too. If I have to find negative points, I will say that it is not very stable, and it is quite easy to accidentally drop the pieces, and that if you don't have many pieces the possible combinations are limited (for my 4 years old boy it is fine, but for bigger kids more pieces are recommended)

Excellent and Sturdy
Nice and solid, very hard wearing. Great gift for kids although on the expensive side but much sturdier than the cheaper plastic ones so worth spending the extra.
