Solid quality plastic product
Solid, better than I expected. It came well packaged, and the plastic material was thicker than I thought it would be. Very simple to put together and after shopping around for a specific need, I stumbled across this. Our pool deck is too small to have a free standing basketball hoop. I wanted something I could attach to our pool fencing, so this just made the best sense and seems to be out of everyone’s was when getting in and out of the pool…perfect solution for me. Also, the basketballs are very good quality and it comes with its own pump and 2 needles to inflate them. Recently had a party with 4 teenagers playing and shooting from up to 30 feet, it’s still standing. All in all GREAT PRODUCT.

Great above ground pool hoop
Great hoop that we added to our Intex above ground pool. We’ve had it for a month, durable, good quality, came with 2 balls that have been perfect. Great for kids and for adults to hoop on. Great choice for a standing hoop next to above ground pool. Highly recommended.

Not made strong or tall enough for teens
This would be a great product if the company made better and stronger supports and a base for this basketball hoop. It is not tall enough for teens and it falls side to side of the pool. We had to create a base with sand and water and raise it up and use stronger bungee cords to help it from stop moving. Might be ok for little pool and little kids.

Great pool fun
Built pretty good. I installed it in a concrete footing to raise it up more. Also filled the post with cement. Been working great all summer. Definitely would buy again.

Pool party!
The media could not be loaded. We played the minute we put it together! It was a snap to put together. Attach the poles and 3 screws into the backboard. That’s it! Came with an Allen wrench so no need for tools. An added bonus was it comes with 2 balls! No more chasing the ball in and out of the pool! We just got our new pool and wanted something fun and I’m definitely pleased with this addition. Can’t go wrong here if you have an above ground pool and want to entertain! Worth every penny!

Well-Made—Perfect for Above Ground Pools—Easy Assembly.
This GoSports Splash Hoop is a perfect addition to our swimming pool. It is made well, using heavy-duty UV-protected plastic components. While playing, once the basket was made, the ball would frequently exit the pool, so we ultimately decided to keep it low to the pool, which helped tremendously. We usually play ball while sitting on flotation noodles, which keeps us submerged to our shoulders and adds to the fun. Assembly and setup were quick and easy. Here’s what I like: • Easy assembly and setup. • Rust-proof screws. We have a saltwater pool, and there is no sign of rust on the screws. • Quality materials. • Excellent net. • The rim is strong. Much more than I thought it would be. • Colors show no signs of fading. • The two balls are perfectly sized for the application. • Ball pump and inflation needle are included. • Enough poles are provided to customize goal height. • Picture instructions are easy to follow. • Appropriate price point. Here’s what I didn’t like: o The backboard tends to rotate slightly right or left after several shots hit the outer edges of the backboard. We plan on installing a pin to eliminate that issue. o The Velcro strips don’t hold too well. We used 3” stainless-steel clamps instead, except for at the pool's top rail. Conclusion: This item has certainly met our expectations, and in some ways, it has even exceeded them. I award stars based on expectations being exceeded (5/5), met (4/5), not met (3/5), and so on. I will give it a four-star review since this item has two minor issues I didn’t like. However, if half stars could be given, I would rate it 4.5/5. I recommend this GoSports Splash Hoop.

Not impressed and would not recommend.
Conceptually, this product has potential…the plastic seems to be high-grade plastic and the balls are nice quality balls. However, in practice this product was horrible for us and will almost immediately get thrown away. We were really excited when it arrived and immediately put it together and jumped in the pool to use it. The product is designed so that the pole goes straight up and down and so the hoop itself ends up mounted directly over the edge of the pool (above ground)…instead of over the water. In addition, the post itself, even using the enclosed straps, was not very stable. As a result, on missed shots the ball was often out of the pool…the hoop would move significantly when the shot hit the back board…and even on made shots the ball would bounce off the side of the pool with a 50/50 chance of coming back in the water. All in all a really horrible and frustrating experience. $$$ in the trash.
