Great for any little car enthusiasts in the family
A great present for any little car enthusiasts this Christmas at a great price! I used to love hot wheels as a child myself, so sharing something similar with the next generation is a very gratifying experience. The set comes with a cool race track that can be assembled fairly easily. As well as two cars and two remote controls. The remotes themselves need 2 AA batteries, but the cars can be charged with the included cables. The cars on the track pick up a decent speed and can go forwards and backwards using the included remote controls. The track itself is a decent size, so you can have a good bit of fun watching the cars loop round and complete a few laps. For the price this is definitely a good quality set for anyone looking for a cool car related present for the kids in their lives.

Frustration and Fun in Unequal Measure
Whoever first came up with the word “frustration” must have had a premonition of this toy. I ordered it in the hope that it would keep my four-year-old grandson, who loves anything mechanical, engrossed during a visit with his parents. Unfortunately, having tried it out myself, I fear that it’s his dad and me who will have to do the assembling – and even then, we’ll have to cover his ears to avoid teaching him words he doesn’t need to know. Trying to put the pieces together is anything but a doddle. It’s not that they’re particularly flimsy but even when you get the bits to slot together (not easy!) you then have to ensure that every bit of the track is flat, with no bumps where they join. The sheet that is supposed to be instructive is just a collection of drawings that does little to make it clear how everything should fit, especially the fences at the corners that are evidently supposed to stop the car shooting off the track. I finally gave up on that bit. Maybe I’m a bit dim or something but however I tried, I couldn’t find how they slot into place. The cars are not very well designed – you really have to look hard to see which end is the front. Charging them is also a bit problematic, since there are no telltale lights to tell you either that they’re charging or fully charged. Or maybe I have a faulty lead – I shan’t know until the power runs out in one of the cars. The remote controls require two AA batteries each (not supplied) but again there’s no indication which way round to hold them so I ended up with the car going backwards when I thought I was sending it forwards. There’s no speed control: it’s either full speed (which is very fast) or stop. I finally managed to loop the loop and keep the car on the track by stopping it after each time it looped. If an adult finds this track a challenge, is there any hope for a four-year-old? Or am I just a slow learner? Judging by some of the other reviews, I don’t think I’m the only one who’s discovered the full meaning of the word “frustration”.

Fun for the kids, but tricky to set up again
No se ha podido cargar el contenido multimedia. The set itself is fun and works as expected. The cars run well and the track is exciting for the kids, especially with the loop. No issues there. The problem is the size. Once you build it, you can’t really leave it out because it takes up too much space, so you end up taking it apart after each use. Putting it back together isn’t as simple as I hoped. It takes time, the pieces don’t click in and out very easily, and it’s definitely not something children can manage on their own. On top of that, the plastic feels quite thin; two of the track ends have already cracked, which was disappointing. it’s enjoyable to play with when it’s all set up, but the rebuild and the fragile material make it a bit frustrating.

Great fun, so fast
I got this for my 2 grandsons, so far its me and their dad that are playing with it lol Its very easy to assemble and when you hit the go button on the remote these cars really shift around that track. The specification on the amazon site says no batteries required.... this is true for the cars as these are rechargeable (via the leads that are supplied) however the remotes do need a couple of AA batteries. this is such fun and i'm sure my grandsons will love it when me and their dad let them have a go :) Great value too at under £20 (just) i would definitely recommend this. +++AAA

Good for the price
This is ok for the price but a couple of watchouts As some others have said the track is fairly flimsy and you can't really pack it away and put it up easily, so it's one that you either need to give extra time for put up/take down or have somewhere to leave it up Unfortunately one of my cars didn't work. It made a noise like it wanted to, but despite leaving on charge it never got started. Worth checking both cars on the carpet before spending time setting it up! Other than the above though we really like this set. It's like a budget scaletric set and was so simple to use even my 21 month old was able to give it a go. Despite having just the one car it was still fun whizzing it around the track and it went around the loops really well once you got a good rhythm. The kids are having a lot of fun with it and despite my grumbles it is one they do keep getting out to play with. For some reason it won’t let me upload my video but it is a speedy little car
