Best flat face knee pads I've ever used I hate the curved knee pads, they always hurt me. These however do not with their flat face and it helping direct lateral movement, I don't get the spinning and stuff. You would get from the curve faced ones. Also I think most of my knee injuries is from the curved ones twisting my knee. Good product.

Don't have to take my shoes off to put the pads on
I was looking for knee pads without having to remove my shoes and I found them. Not sure what is less trouble, the Triple 8 pads where I don't have to take off my shoes or wearing pads that I have to take my shoes off??? My pads that I have to take off my shoes has an elastic sleeve that goes over the foot/leg then you secure the pads with Velcro the straps. The Tripe 8 pads are similar except the inner sleeve separates and opens up with Velcro straps. There are outer straps like my other pads. You need to take the outer strap and slide through the buckle that the strap threads through then un-Velcro the inner liner. I think without the inner Velcro straps, the pads would move around. With that said, the pads are great. I don't have to take my shoes off and the pads don't move around which is what I was looking for. I think the pads will protect my knees if and when I take a spill. My only complaint would be how the pads feel compare to my pads where I have to remove my shoes. I probably just need to get use to them. The fit/size is correct for me.

Durable and effective
I in-line skate and I can reach my top speed, take a tumble and feel absolutely nothing with these on. (I am also in triple eight helmet, braces and elbow pads) but it’s all incredibly effective. The fit and size is accurate to the measurement chart. The Velcro is still holding up.

Only good for roller skating or skateboarding
These are great for skateboarding and or roller skating only. Not good for sliding on. Very thin padding and will need extra padding so you don't hurt yourself. SIZE UP! Otherwise, great product!

Finally found a comfortable pair of knee pads!!
I'm an awesome, GenX female, age 51, who clearly has the most abnormally disproportionate body on the planet! I'm 5'8", weigh 200lbs, and based upon size charts, I need a knee pad that is size L/XL on top and size M/L on the bottom. Even with all the velcro and elastic, it has been a struggle to find knee pads that stay up without cutting off my circulation. I would also like to easily put them on over my pants, need them to legitimately protect my knees, AND preferably don't cost more than my skates. After trying many brands and price points, I have finally found my Goldilocks knee pads! I can't believe it. These are sooo comfortable. Really. I know they don't look like they would be but they are. I forget I am wearing them. And this is the first pair that doesn't make me feel like a giant robot. I have tried Scabs Derby (L), 187 Killer pad set (XL), Triple 8 ExoSkin (L), Triple 8 Covert (L), some oldschool K2's (M), and few randos (L-XXL). I finally bought some garden knee pads while I continued my search and have been trepidatiously using those. Now, with these, I feel so much more confident. Whew!

Functional but straps are overdone and fiddly
Absolutely a fully functional set of pads with great front of knee protection and slide, decent side of knee protection too. I really don’t care for the unnecessary double-back strap on the top. These secure and cinch-able straps are important on the bottom but redundant on the top. Additionally, the double-back straps attach on the inside, between the legs (yes, I’ve triple checked right vs left) instead of outside the legs. This means that if a strap comes loose or just has some extra at the end that doesn’t Velcro down then it’s catching as you skate. Huge fan of the brand— have their helmet, other knee pads, and wrist guards so while the quality is there on these pads, the design is iffy compared to others.

Walked away from a hard fall because I was wearing these
I've been holding off on writing a review of these because I hadn't "tested" them yet. Well, that changed yesterday. And they proved to be worth every penny I paid for them. I already liked the fit of these. They are adjustable and don't feel too bulky. I can roller skate with ease without feeling like I'm being restricted in any way. But I hadn't fallen hard until yesterday. And then I did, almost flat on my face, yesterday. These were clearly scratched up when I got up. But I got up, easily. And was able to go right back to skating. One of my knees did hurt a little bit, but just a little. It was barely noticeable. And the pain is gone today. I'm so, so glad I purchased these. Great product!

The media could not be loaded.

Good stuff
Good quality stuff. The size given is accurate but that's measured without clothings so have to keep that in mind when buying..
