I had been looking for a case for my 5230 for a long time and it fits exactly into this one. The case is well made and is what it claims to be imitation leather although I thought it looked a rather good imitation. It has a firm magnetic catch on the flap that closes over the top. It clips to the belt with a metal hook covered with the same material as the rest of the case so it won't cut your belt or trousers. There is also a belt loop which is held on with a press-stud I had reservations as to whether it would hold securely but it seems too. The only downside for me and this is not a reflection on the product is that I prefer one that hangs vertically so will keep looking.

Excellent! Just what I needed as a wheelchair user who is fed up of having to search around in my bag for my phone! - I can now clip it securely to my safety belt instead. This was PERFECT in both price and function. Hope the seller brings out similar products for IPods as one the same as this for my Ipod would be very much appreciated! Thank you so so much for this!

Not a great design
I imagine that this is one of those products that have been designed and marketed, but missed out the testing stage. The belt loops are not adequately attached to the case. It failed in five months and when you look at how they are attached you can see why. Had the manufacturer cared, I'm sure that a very small design change could have made this a great product. Sadly a belt loop pouch with poorly designed belt loops is rather like a chocolate teapot.
