This flying rocket model is an excellent replica of Blue Origin's New Shepard rocket for launching space tourists. Standing about 12 inches long and made from sturdy plastic (unlike the standard cardboard tube for most rocket models), it comes with a set of removable clear plastic fins for stability when flown. Also included is the recovery parachute. Launchpad and controller sold separately. However this model is actually nice enough to be displayed and also comes with a display base. Which is exactly how I use it (I may get another New Shepard later on, just FOR flying). Whether this model is flown or displayed, it's a nice addition to anyone's collection.

Plastic = heavier, so lower launch and better return
Our kids found my old rockets in a closet and rather than risk 30 year old emgines, we ordered two new ones off Amazon. We did 3 launches on a Sunday afternoon- one with another orange rocket and 2 back to back with this one. All same engine sizes. The orange rocket needs to be assembled, goes much higher, which at first seems like what you want until you realize that makes it really difficult to track and easy to lose (on our second orange rocket already). It also scortched the parachute despite a ton of wading. This rocket however being plastic is basically zero assembly, was much heavier and therefore launched much lower making it easier to track and returned with no chute damage at all. Twice. Plus our kids are excited about the 'send a postcard to space' added bonus that comes in the box!

Spectacular!
I've always enjoyed launching Estes model rockets ever since I was a kid I chose this rocket because it's preassembled.I'll have my first opportunity to launch it next week at at my Compeer event. I have to make sure I have the correct rocket engine. I've already lost rockets in the past due to rocket engines that were to powerful!

Beautiful model, and flies great!
Lots of fun. It's pretty to look at, flies great, and even has a small cargo compartment.

Unfortunately, it does not vibrate
The Bezos spaceship. Why am I not surprised by its shape?

Great Starter Rocket
We love this rocket. It's already set up and basically ready to fly with the exception of the chute. Flys nice and straight. It seems like the rocket is a little on the heavy side. I would recommend using C engines. We used B6-4 and we did not get a ton of altitude, and that was without any cargo in the hold. The chute would pop around 50ft on its return and full chute deployment was only 10-15 above ground. Enough to slow it down but it's cutting it pretty close. Removing the spent engine is also a little tricky.

Great rocket!
The media could not be loaded. It’s really well built rocket! Great to display and for launches. I’ve had 6 launches so far, all success.
