I wanted to automate a new siding so needed to control 2 Kato switches, and wanted to keep the cost down. The DS52 works just as well as Switch-Kats, which is to say just fine! Have not encountered any issues with Traincontroller operating this siding through the DS52. MUCH lower price point than a DS74.

Works as advertised. A nice cheap solution if you only have a couple switches in your layout.
So far so good. Added it to a couple Atlas solenoid switches (#2703) on my small desktop N-Gauge layout running DCC with Digitrax DSC-52 command controller. Switches perform flawlessly when triggered by this DS52 stationary decoder.

Works great on turn outs.
Programmed for 2 snap [solenoid] turn outs. Input wires 1,2,3 are the first programmed turn out and wires 6,7,8 are the the second programmed turn out. Works as advertised.
