Great fit for my short daughter who is in to Barbie big time. She loved it!

Adult Barbie costume
So, this was bought for my daughter so she could wear it to a school dress up day where film or book characters are encouraged as role model ideas. It is pretty much identical to the recent Barbie film character costume and is made of a nice decent checked material that is not transparently thin and it doesn't have the feel of a one use Asda costume. The actual dress seems to be surprisingly well made with a lining and removable belt that matches the costume. What you see in the picture is what it looks like - no promotional cheating, what you see is what you get. We ordered a size 10/12 and it is a good fit, not stingy or well oversized. For a change there are no loose seams or signs of cheap nasty manufacturing - it looks like a decent dress. My daughter can't wait to wear it.

A little snug but such a great costume

Impressive costume but comes up a little small
This costume arrived in a sturdy plastic bag with a popper fastening and coat hanger attachment. In a pink, gingham check the dress has a stiff underskirt/petticoat which really gives the skirt the perfect flared look. It comes complete with a belt and hair bow (attached to a comb). As a UK 16 I ordered this in size 16-18 which fitted but was a little more snug around the top than I'd like. In 100% polyester the material is lightweight but was very creased from the bag. At £39.56, at time of review, it's a pricey costume but it definitely encapsulates the "Barbie" look and the style of the dress is spot on.
