Looks good from 20ft away…
This costume looks great from a distance but close up it is possible to tell it’s quite thin. This isn’t a bad thing but the images do make it look more substantial, the biggest issue is the creases in the fabric which are almost impossible to get out, giving it a crumpled look. Having said this I still think it is good value considering the low cost, the quality of the finish is also fine and with a bit of effort it can look very effective. The fit is good, I ordered a Large which is my usual size and it fits as expected.

Inexpensive cosplay tailcoat
I don't know about vampires, it's definitely not medieval and the association with pirates is about zero squared, but I do rather like this cheap tailcoat & ruff combination. If you wish to look like a treacherous, malicious, unprincipled cad who likes holding up stagecoaches -and you want to do it cheaply- then look no further. Supplied in a plastic protective wrapper, with lace ruffs in separate plastic pouches, first impressions are good: it's nicely styled for type, sits well on even my rugby-player shoulders, and isn't badly made for the money, a couple of loose threads notwithstanding. The ruffs are a bit loose themselves in terms of fit, but the go on -don't try eating while wearing is good advice though. Oh, and avoid red wine while you're at it. Or blood, if you're a vampire. Important information, that. The neck ruff is adjustable via simple press-studs and the ensemble is a nice bit of affordable fun. Enjoy!

Requires work before it can be worn.
The “medieval” suit shown in the listing’s photos is probably made to look like that after hours of ironing. The tails are also longer in the photo. The suit I received was quite thin and so creased I wouldn’t want to be seen wearing it like that. In reality the tails hang just below the knees. After it’s been made presentable it does look smart. But no amount of ironing will make it medieval! 17th, 18th century yes, but 400 years prior to that, no. For the price I think the suit is acceptable, but be prepared to work at making it presentable. And stay standing when wearing it-those creases return very easily.
