CORE Pattini Illuminati a 4 Ruote per Bambini, Pattini Illuminati Regolabili per Principianti, 2 Misure, Pattini in Linea per Ragazzi e Ragazze, Ruote LED, UK Junior
Got these for my five year old and she loves them. It makes her so much more independent and the skating sessions often have a lot of the younger kids wearing them.

Light-up wheels, 4-wheel skates with some size adjustment (ankle tilt)
Overall these are about as I expected. I've tried a few different variations of these adjustable skates and these are about average in terms of weight, quality and price. A decent all-round option. These ones are 4-wheel designs with two larger wheels spaced apart wider at the back and two smaller wheels spaced about a little at the front. They are rigid - the pictures actually make it look as if the front wheels may turn but they are fixed. The larger rear wheels light up when in motion, which is quite effective in low light conditions (although the person wearing them can't tell, so it's a bit wasted on us adults). There are two foot restraint straps and these are easily tightened up (just push them in as far as you can) and it's just a push to release them which can be done one-handed. The weight of these is quite significant. For anyone that does a lot of skating I would suggest something lighter but an odd pootle about at the local park/flat space these are just fine. They also have a large sturdy brake pad on the heel on both boots. The side adjustment is not a true size adjustment - I've tried others where the actual boot part of the boot lengthens and shortens. With these the clip on the heel is released and this allows tilting of the ankle portion of the boot forward and backward to make the boot smaller. In reality the foot part stays the same size though and this is just a basic way of accommodating feet as they grow. Still at least they give some option to grow rather than needing new boots regularly. The wheels don't rotate very freely, so again anyone wanting top speeds should look elsewhere. For those that just want a slow skate around the park occasionally these are just fine. At the current price of £35.99 these are about as expected. Overall 4 stars from me.

Decent budget skates
My daughter really likes these. They're brightly coloured so look good when first unwrapped, and the wheels light up, which is always going to be a bonus in a kid's eyes. They're fairly heavy, but I think that's fairly standard for less expensive skates. The padding is pretty decent and the size is easily adjustable once you know how (unclip the rear clip then rotate the skate to extend / shorten). It would have been good to have some instructions instead of having to work this out myself. I'd say these are pretty good value for money - the materials and build quality reflect the £30-£40 price point. Decent little present.

CORE Kids Newbie 4 Wheel Light Up Skates
Sadly for us, the wrong size was sent so I can't honestly say whether these work for a newbie skater. From the looks of the small size we were sent, they are sturdy and well made and seem adjustable - though we couldn't get them to fit our little mans feet. They do seem rather heavy but I think that is normal for these types of skates and so long as they are fitted well and adjusted correctly, they shouldn't cause an issue. The light up wheels were a hit so I'd imagine they'd go down well with any little one. Just a shame we couldn't use them as we had hoped.

Nice Skates for Beginners
If you are looking for a set of roller skates for beginners then these seem ideal, they are sturdy and look to be well made. The wheels roll smoothly, and kids will like the fact that like the fact that the wheels light up when rolling... I like that too actually ????. The skates need to come with some instructions, particularly regarding the adjustment. The skates are adjusted by unlocking the clip behind the skate on the heel, then by turning the plastic to make the skate smaller or bigger, i like that the skates are extremely adjustable so you can get the perfect fit. The plastic seems particularly hard, I know that some of this will be for support, but it could be a little more comfortable on the insole too. Overall though, these are nice skates which will allow your child to grow with them, thus getting more use out of them than buying a fixed size.
