Read this classic horse lovers' Book with its perfect Breyer horse model!
The media could not be loaded. I was so excited to find this package for sale. I read all the Black Stallion books when I was young, and they affected me deeply. As a teenager I had a dark brown Thoroughbred gelding (who sometimes behaved more like a stallion, and he was a powerful teacher for me. Two years ago, I discovered that Breyer horses were available and got the favorite I'd had when younger and missed the most. Then my daughter got me a Breyer of a contemporary race horse that developed a relationship with a young boy who was very sick and that friendship gave the boy joy in his final months. Discovering that this package exited gave me great joy, and the quality is wonderful. Cover image is beautiful and totally satisfying my imagination of the horse I'd read about, The Breyer also matches this same image. Just to the right of where the Breyer stands is my movie poster of THE BLACK STALLION movie. All of this is in my home office, where I many hours, daily. That's what I'm smiling broadly while I write this review

Great Gift for horse lovers
Attention to detail and well colored. Makes a nice display piece. This is a medium sized horse suitable for older children (8+) and is suitably built for that age range. It is a resin type horse that is hollow and light weight. With the added book this is a great gift and a wonderful value for your money.

The sculpture is very good
This is great. I purchased this as a (Arabian theme) decoration in consideration of Palestinian people. It's much better than I thought and bigger so I'm going to need a better display shelf. It's worth the money. Also adorable for animal lovers.

Excellent quality, minor issue probably with shipping
I have enjoyed Breyer’s horses since I was a child myself in the 70s. I had this exact same Misty and Stormy set, and was able to buy a similar one for my niece. The black stallion was my favorite book as a third grader, and I was pleased to share it with my niece, who is getting ready for fifth grade. Turns out she’s already read the book, but didn’t have a copy of it herself. I enjoyed her excitement at playing with the horses as soon as she unwrapped them, and she was very excited about the books. It makes me happy to see the combination of toy and book spark such interest. Excellent quality set, and the books seem like it will be durable enough for an 11 year old. The only issue is that the black stallion was perhaps compressed in shipping, and would not stand up without immediately falling over. I couldn’t see any obvious flaw or damage, and she absolutely refused to allow me to return it. She shoved napkins and pebbles underneath its feet to make it stand up while she was playing with it. I’m going to still call it a hit.

I really liked this model
I really liked this model. I've had her for a few months now and she's holding up very very very very well. I've played with her quite a lot over these past months and she's barely even gotten a scratch on her. I completely recommend her to any breyer horse collector and lover. She is a beautiful Mustang Appaloosa Horse, but the only thing about her is her eyes were cross-eyed when I got her. I love her anyway, and just letting you know Western classic bridles do not fit this mold very well at all. I totally do recommend her though and I rated her 5 stars because she's a really impressive model the shading out her is amazing. Looking at her right now the shading is super good especially around her withers and flank her hooves aren't that detailed which I would like them to be but that's okay. They don't have the frogs inside of them. She has beautiful shade in all over her and her man is beautiful shaded as well she has a lot of overspray on her tail but I don't really mind that too much she has pretty crisp spots and markings. The only thing that I would like to see improved would have to be the tail. It looks great and all but there's a lot of over spray and it's not very well done to be honest. It's also very rough on the tail there's lots of bumps that don't belong but that doesn't really matter to me because the rest of the model and the great shading makes up for it. Recommended! And she's held up so well there's barely a scratch on her over these past five or so months. I love this model!!

Cheap plastic poor quality
Very cheap looking poor quality and detail like something you would buy in the pound shop. My granddaughter collects schleich horses but see these online as bigger so bought for her birthday, disappointing is an understatement
