They look fine
Bought them for some display cases for some old models i built as a kid. ( Nostalgia and all that) though they look toovregular to be realistic, as compared to actuarial scale gravel, they do the job perfectly. They stick together magnetically and have several screw holes to old them down. I'd check continuity before doing that however. Bought a second set.

Magnalock Track didn’t work on hardwood floor
The Magnalock track design appears to have mixed results. It did not perform well on a very sturdy hardwood floor. The train would have intermittent operation and I could not isolate the cause (I checked all connections, level, and track trueness). The Lionel Polar Express train that I used with it worked great when I swapped the track for Bachmann EZ Track.

Great idea but one flaw.
I like the concept of the magnetic track, however the magnets seen to need to be stronger. It didn’t take much to bump the tracks out of line.

Lionel magna track. Works great.
I have been running this track almost everyday since May and I have no problems with this track.

SO easy to set up and break down.
The MagneLock tracks are sooo easy to put together. They just click into place. However, they are a problem if you have little ones or pets who insist on running across them. It won’t break them, but you’ll have to keep clicking them back together. In case you don’t want to do the math, it takes 12 of these curve track pieces to make a complete circle, with a 38” diameter across center. If you want an oblong you’ll want to add 4 straight pieces, 2 on each side. You can do it with 1 straight piece on each side, but it looks a bit odd, and doesn’t stay together as well. If you want to run your train electrically, you’ll need to get the power pack and connector piece.
