Bigger than other sets, gorgeous design - 3yo loves it
My little one loves to roleplay. She's just over three years old now, and has a little wooden tea set that she's grown out of. This one is slightly bigger and more grown up. Pros: • Super cute aesthetic • All wooden toy • Encourages imaginative play Cons: • None As soon as I got this out of the box, my little one forgot everything else existed. As you expect from quality wooden toys, each item comes wrapped in paper and all come in a box ready to open. The design is really sweet. The pastel colours and the zigzag style are captivating and look great on her unit. It's lovely because it is a super simple little set. It comes with two cups, saucers and spoons, a sugar pot, a milk jug, and a teapot, all of which sit on a flat carrying tray. They're slightly larger than competitor tea sets I've seen and have bigger handles than her old one, which makes it feel more grown up and suitable for her age range. I love wooden toys as they are a far more responsible way to play - no harmful plastics in the environment, and wood just feels better and more robust. I hate having plastic toys and want to encourage more toys like this. The paint is a lovely, hard-wearing, non-toxic variety too. I use toys like this to help my toddler learn manners, counting, and taking turns, all while having fun. We often have tea parties with her teddies and mix this up with food from other sets. She also always offers our guests tea when they come round. Overall, I think it's a great set. I've never used Bigjigs before, so it was a great entry into the brand. Very high quality, sturdy and not easy to damage. I love that it all comes on a tray and my little girl can have child-led play and expose her imagination. Really great set and totally worth the money it's being sold for.

Made for tiny hands aged 18 months and up, this set pulls out all the stops. The attention to detail in the craftsmanship is immediately apparent—from the smooth edges to the vibrant colours. Bigjigs has clearly paid homage to traditional play sets while ensuring safety and durability are at the forefront. The set includes everything necessary for a sophisticated tea party: a wooden teapot, cups, spoons, and even a sugar bowl with a lid that little fingers will love to open and close approximately a thousand times (it’s part of the magic, I promise!). One of my favourite features is the inclusion of a sturdy wooden tray. It's not just for show – it's a functional carrier for all the tea accoutrements, making clean-up as swift as the imaginary slurping and sipping. The tray itself is a mini canvas for creativity, with a charming print that enhances its whimsical appeal without being overly fussy. What nudges this product into four-star territory is the undeniable quality mingled with classic play value. It offers fantastic durability that will stand up to the most robust of tea parties and perhaps even a few rambunctious toddler tantrums. However, I do have a slight quibble: the set could benefit from a few more interactive pieces, say a couple of biscuits or perhaps a small milk jug, to truly enhance the role-play experience. In a world where screens dominate, this lovely set provides a breath of fresh air, encouraging imaginative play and social interaction. It's not perfect, but it's a splendid way to nurture growing minds and fine motor skills. Tea, anyone?

A lovely BigJigs set
I’ve had a fair few Bigjigs toys over the years and have always been pretty impressed with the quality of their offerings. For those of you who haven’t come across the company before, Bigjigs was formed in 1985 in Kent, England. It has grown sice then, but is still proud to call itself a family run business. Their mission statement is to ‘deliver quality, safe and affordable products which are responsibly sourced and complement childhood development through fun, exploration, and learning.’ Many of their toys are made from wood and include trains, jigsaws and games. This set is made from wood, as many other of the sets in this range are. This tea time set features ten pieces in total, all of which are made from sustainably sourced FSC Certified wood, conforming to EN71 Toy Safety Standards and decorated with non-toxic paints & lacquers used We introduced the set to a year and a half old little girl. The set does say that it is for ages 18 months and over, so it is well pitched for her age. She had a lovely play with the set and was completely taken with it and had lots of fun preparing tea for the family.

This Tea Tray toy Set has been a delightful addition to my toddler's playtime. The 10-piece wooden set is beautifully crafted and perfect for imaginative tea parties. The quality of the materials is impressive, and it's clear that sustainability was a priority in its design. The pieces are well-sized for little hands, making role play easy and enjoyable. It’s sturdy enough to withstand frequent use and has quickly become a favorite toy in our household. Overall, it’s a charming and durable set that makes for a wonderful, eco-friendly gift for young children.
