Nice Solid Little Toy
I like wooden toys but just because I like them it does not mean the little one will, but as it happens my little 3 year old granddaughter could not wait to get it unwrapped, it's quite well designed as one way up it's a tool box which you can store all the bits in, turn it over and it's a little bench, it has holes which are colour coded and you can put the corresponding nuts and bolts through an use either the spanner or the screw driver to tighten and loosen, this did prove to be a bit difficult for her, the hammer and dowels though she loved and spent most of the time hammering the wooden dowels through there holes, it also comes with two strips of wood that also have holes in that can be joined in various ways using the nuts and bolts. I can not find any negatives with this, it is what it is a wooden toy, it has no techy stuff, does not need battery's and should last longer than most plastic toys it is also quite educational and helps with dexterity.

Brilliant toy, and excellent quality
This wooden tool kit/ workbench is just wonderful. It really is as good as the product details and photos, and it gives hours and hours of absorbed fun. It is safe - meets all the safety standards in every way. It is sustainable - made from sustainably sourced wood, and also sustainable in that it can be handed down in the family for generations to come. This really is something special. 10/10 to Bigjigs for not marketing this towards little boys, as is so often the case. This is absolutely suitable for any toddler, and will develop the essential skills of dexterity, hand eye coordination, construction, creativity, problem solving, and also imaginative play. Our 2 year old really likes it, and gets absorbed in it, though needs someone else with her to fully enjoy it. It's wonderful activity to do with her. Her older brother (5) loves it, he loves to play it with her and show her how to construct things. And carries on when she's not there! I very much recommend this, it would make a very welcome and special gift. I think it is worth the current price of £27, for a toy of this quality and longevity.
