Fantastic puzzle for beginners
I’ve gone thru the level 6 and 5, and have been searching the lower levels for the gems. This one is really satisfying. It is a perfect medium-difficulty puzzle. Challenging enough that it’s still fun for a master, easy enough that anyone can solve it. Has the typical high quality of a Hanayama puzzle. Solid metal casting, smooth finish, satisfying weight.

Elegant enough design but stupidly easy.
The design of this puzzle is elegant enough, it looks quite neat, but unfortunately it is an extraordinarily straightforward design that is absurdly simple to solve. There is no trick, just a few rotations and the cross comes right out; I literally solved this one in less than a minute. I have many of these puzzles and this one was significantly easier than many of the level 2 hanayamas.

Pretty simple
As others have mentioned, this is pretty easy to solve. It was actually harder to put it back together than take it apart. The only reason it is Hanayama level 3 is they couldn't give it 2 1/4.
