Imperdibile!
Uno dei più bei concerti dei BeeGees (1997) con la partecipazione di Céline Dion in una canzone. Il suono è perfetto, il video è in fornato 16:9 e di buona qualità malgrado sia materiale in risoluzione standard sia stato portato alla definizione 1080i. Per essere chiaro SD BD non è un BD a definizione nativa 1080i o 1080p, ma il video in SD è portato alla definizione a 1080i, come in questo caso, oppure 1080p, con audio stereo originale o ricodificato. Nei bonus tracks trovate: - un medley in formato 4:3 preso da una trasmissione TV americana - Un'intervista del gruppo (con sotto titoli anche in italiano) - Nessun libretto solo il DB con foglio stampato anche all'interno. Ve lo consiglio perchè è proprio un bel concerto a un buon prezzo

Acquisto positivo
Sono molto soddisfatto dell'acquisto. Il Blu-ray contiene il live BeeGees 1997 Las Vegas suddiviso per canzoni, molto comodo per saltare da una song all'altra a proprio piacimento. Il menù è chiaro e ci sono anche alcuni contenuti extra. La qualità video è la migliore dell'epoca, attualmente discreta. Audio ottimo.

Ottimo concerto ..sia dal lato artistico che tecnico..buon suono e loro sono semplicemente i Bee Gees..una carrellata di successi strepitosi fino alla data di uscita del disco...e un omaggio a quello che saranno per sempre per noi

BELLO, DA COMPRARE
Per chi era adolescente negli anni '70 il nome dei Bee Gees è indissolubilmente legato alla Febbre del Sabato Sera, film iconico per gli appasionati di musica da discoteca. Ma in questo concerto si capisce (per chi non ne è già a conoscenza) che i tre fratelli Gibb erano più di quelli del film. E soprattutto erano Bee Gees già prima del film e lo sono stati anche dopo, con una serie di canzoni davvero belle. Certo, trattasi di un genere di pop particolare, basato essenzialmente sulla voce in falsetto soprattutto di Barry. Ma il caratteristico mix vocale delle tre voci, frullato sapientemente con la parte strumentale, ora pop, ora soul, e ora r&b, li ha collocati stabilmente tra i grandi della disco, tenuto anche conto che trattasi dei primissimi non afro-americani a fare quel genere di musica. Il concerto è bello, l'audio abbastanza buono, e le riprese soddisfacenti. Da sottolineare la scenografia abbastanza semplice, visto che trattasi di un concerto di quasi 30 anni fa, che ancor di più fa concentrare l'attenzione dello spettatore sulla musica, e i video con scene di vita familiare che appaiono spesso alle spalle dei fratelli Gibb, garantendo anche un pizzico di commozione che rende ancor più bella la visione. Insomma, certo non rientra tra i più grandi concerti della storia della musica, ma, ripeto, è davvero un bel concerto, sono contento di averlo acquistato e lo consiglio a chi oggi non è più giovanissimo ed era in discoteca negli anni '70 e '80.

Sui Bee Gees è rimasto purtroppo poco da scrivere e si deve lasciare spazio solo alla musica, cosa che questo dvd fa divinamente. Ottimo suono e immagini definite per rivivere forse una delle migliori epoche easy listening che paragonata a quella odierna continua ad apparire, giustamente, come l'età dell'oro, almeno musicalmente parlando. Un dvd che tutti i cinquantenni dovrebbero possedere.

EL MEJOR DVD QUE HE VISTO DE BEE GEES
El concierto de Bee ges que ofrecen en un Hotel de las Vegas y en el interpretan lo mejores temas de su carrera, es un autentico repaso con una calidad de sonido e imagen en Blu Ray, muy superior a sus discos, a todos los amantes de Be gees , sino lo compran o lo pueden ver, se van a perder una obra maestra

Definitive live show for Bee Gees? Blu Ray SD upscale edition
There has been a few comments about why this show has been released on Blu Ray in an 'SD upscale' rather than the normal hi-definition we all come to expect and I spent a little time trying to find out if the show was actually filmed (on film stock) as opposed to video. Couldn't find anything definitive and an email to Eagle Rock was unanswered. They do actually state the show was 'filmed' but, of course, this can be used a generic term rather than indicating film cameras were used. In any event we have what we have and upon viewing I am more than happy with the results. On a very large plasma the close up shots look very good and it is only when long crowd or group shots are used the fact you are watching an standard definition release is apparent. The colours are nothing special but, considering the SD source, we have the best we are going to get (the credits mention video operatives etc., too). Sound on the other hand is superb with a DTS HD audio surround track and it sounds fantastic. As for the show itself I can't think of a better liver performance from the band that is available. They have a set that covers so many hits it spans 2 hours 20 minutes with all of the hits I can think of. Some special guests too! A few extras (alternative songs from different shows and an interview) and this ends up as an excellent release and one that will be played a lot! For fans and those with just a casual interest in the Bee Gees this is highly recommended. Update: I have compared the Blu Ray to the Region 1 (USA) DVD version I own and the picture quality offers marginal improvements - you have to look hard to find any! If anything you can tell there has been some effort to boost sharpness as you can see the edge enhancement on occasion - like a halo effect - on things like microphone stands. Essentially though both DVD and Blu Ray are fine but you need to consider that this is a standard definition source - you will not see the usual HD improvement from Blu Ray. The sound is also fine on the DVD with a DD 5.1 mix but has a bit more punch through the lossless audio track. No extras on the DVD unlike the Blu Ray. For me though one of the huge benefits is the pop up menu on the BR which is great considering how many tracks there are on the disc - with BR you can find the track easily and go straight there, much harder on DVD. Considering the low price I still feel the BR is a good upgrade. Update 2: The extras contain a few tracks that seem to have been recorded from one of those ITV shows 'An Audience with' - half of the cast of Eastenders are the 'celebs' visible!

„How Deep Is Your Love“ war einer ihrer größten Hits, zu dem eine ganze Disco-Generation schwofte. Und zu dem JohnTravolta als Tony Manero in „Saturday Night Fever“ seine Stephanie anschmachtete. Die Gibb-Brüder Robin, Barry und Maurice waren der Inbegriff von Disco. Seit sie 1967 ihren ersten Plattenvertrag machten, produzierten sie einen Hit nach dem anderen, verkauften über 200 Millionen Tonträger, schrieben Songs (allein vier Nummer-1-Hits) für Interpreten wie Diana Ross („Chain Reaction“), Barbra Streisand („Woman In Love“), Dolly Parton und Kenny Rogers („Islands In The Stream“), Dionne Warwick („Heartbreaker“) oder Celine Dion („Immortality“). Eine 36-jährige Erfolgsgeschichte. Im Sommer 1998 platzierte sich das ein Jahr zuvor in Las Vegas mitgeschnittene Live-Album „One Night Only“ auf Anhieb auf Platz vier der englischen Charts und weltweit in den Top Ten. Dieser Auftritt im restlos ausverkauften MGM Grand in Las Vegas am 14. November 1997 wurde zu einem weiteren Höhepunkt in ihrer Karriere. Nachdem sie zuvor bereits in die „Hall Of Fame“ aufgenommen worden waren, standen die drei Brüder nach fast zehn Jahren erstmals wieder auf einer US-Bühne und begeisterten das Publikum, unter ihnen Olivia Newton-John (Hauptdarstellerin neben John Tavolta im Spielfilm „Grease“ mit dem Titelsong der Bee Gees). Es war ihr einziges Konzert in diesem Jahr. Die Setlist umfasst 32 Songs aus allen Schaffensphasen ihrer beeindruckenden Karriere. Non Stop jagt ein Hit den anderen, als Sahnehäubchen gibt es zwischendurch einen umjubelten Gastauftritt von Celine Dion bei "Immortality". Da der Live-Auftritt ursprünglich nicht in High Definition gefilmt wurde, ist das Bildmaterial nach dem derzeitigen Stand der Technik im Format 1.78:1 (1080i /60Hz) aufpoliert worden. Was für ein Rausch der Sinne, diesen Meilenstein der Pop-Geschichte heutzutage in nie zuvor dagewesener Qualität genießen zu können! Ein Quantensprung in deutlich besserer Bild- und Tonqualität als beispielsweise meine bisherige DVD-Version von MAWA Film & Medien aus dem Jahr 1998 bietet. Die Soundqualität wurde exzellent remastered und klingt um ein Vielfaches besser als jemals zuvor: Zur Wahl stehen DTS-HD Master Audio Surround Sound sowie eine hochwertige LPCM-Stereo-Variante in exzellenter CD-Qualität. Dieser Silberling ist der Start einer neuen „SD-Blu-ray“-Reihe von Eagle Vision. Das SD steht wie im TV-Bereich für "Standard Definition" und bedeutet, dass die Originalaufnahmen für diese Reihe komplett überarbeitet werden. Schon die Qualität der vorliegenden Restaurierung lässt für die Zukunft noch das eine oder andere Highlight aus altem (4:3) SD-Video-Material erwarten. Ein ca. 20-minütiges deutsch untertiteltes Interview sowie fünf Live-Bonustracks aus einem Auftritt im britischen Fernsehen („An Audience With The Bee Gees“ ) runden das Gesamtbild dieses rundum überzeugenden Wiedersehens ab. Fan, was willst Du mehr?! Vielleicht eines Tages auch noch eine Blu-ray dieser Güteklasse vom legendären Live-Auftritt, den die Gebrüder Gibb zum Abschluss ihrer "One For All Tour" rund um die Welt nach zehnjähriger Abwesenheit in ihrer Wahlheimat Australien am 17./18. November 1989 im National Tennis Centre Melbourne mit den jubelnden Fans feierten, oder dem letzten dann zehn Jahre später im Stadion von Sydney (Australien) am 27. März 1999 ...Ein anderes Wiedersehen ist leider unmöglich geworden: 2003 starb Maurice nach einer Operation, im Mai 2012 folgte ihm Robin nach langem Kampf gegen den Krebs.

un groupe inoubliable et inégalable
Concert grandiose avec ces trous frères qui sont géniaux. Je ne me lasse pas de le regarder et j'écoute leurs cd en boucle en permanence. Il est dommage que Maurice et Robin soient partis trop tôt. Ils feraient encore des concerts grandioses tous les trois. Je les écoute depuis sue j'ai 14ans mon seul regret est de ne jamais avoir pu assister à un de leurs concerts.
