Aesthetically, this play-workbench looks great...the wood is soft, smooth, and rounded, and the light blue and pink color scheme is a nice departure from the more traditional varieties out there (e.g., blacks, reds, yellows, etc.). My 2 yo toddler played with the tools, but in all honesty, I think he would have appreciated more interactivity. The table saw and clamp can be fun, but there's nothing to saw, hammer, torque, or screw. This play workbench is packaged with a bunch of the little wooden bars, but they mainly serve as holder pegs for the other tools. I suppose the lack of play nails and bolts would force more creative imaginary play, but my toddler doesn't seem to be totally engaged with it at the moment. Additionally, I'm not sure if I got a defect, but a couple of the screws that were used to assemble this playset were too long, so they create somewhat of a safety hazard (the instructions mentioned that there were two screws that were smaller than all the rest, but when I measured them all, they were all the same size). Luckily, it's in a somewhat inconspicuous place, but that's a definite red flag for toddler toys. Anyway, it's a good-looking toy to have around, and it still takes up some play time, so it's definitely a nice-to-have.
