New to Model Trains, but This is a Nice Tank Car Compared to Walthers
These are my first tank car for my first model train, and I bought both a Bachmann and a Walthers for comparison. You can see in my photos the Bachmann cars have screws holding the axels in place rather the plastic snap on Walthers uses. And the quality of the paint and the detail of the ladder are much better on the Bachmann car. The Bachmann car also weighs more adding stability as it travels the rail. That said the Bachmann cars are generally about $10 more than a Walthers. So, you should expect it to be a better build.

This is a nice car. Yes it is light in weight. However the price is right and my grandchildren love it.
