What an awesome product. Adds that finishing touch to our train layout. I'm at a loss as to why there are negative comments about this set. Gee let me see, A to A and B to B. I tried to add regular track and it will not auto reverse so I ordered a 4 pack of 9" straights to extend it some. My son loves it so much. We added the Bachmann #60504 PCC Streetcar sound value equipped and it works beautifully. I was concerned that it would not have sound, but it does. It rings the bell twice on each startup and the motor sounds as does the sparking electric pickup. You obviously don't have all the control of a DCC setup but I'm happy with the functionality. Great product by Bachmann love their EZ track system.

Wonderful with buts
The product works well with auto forward and reverse controlled by the unit. The negative comments are the track length is very short by default with limited tracks. Also cannot have more than 3 carriages attached. For Asia region using 240v input and this adaptor only 120v. Need to change.

amount of usable straight track unclear
The auto reversing works just great, I really like it. The amount of supplied reversing track is a little deceiving. The supplied straight track only includes 4 pieces of reversing track; two of which are the sensing sections which only provide one-half of each track as usable track. Thus without the curved pieces you only have three usable lengths for reversing operations on straight track only (about 27 inches). The sensing tracks sense cars that draw current (locomotives, lighted cars, etc.) and they trigger the reversing circuit when one of these cars crosses the sensing track segments. The other two pieces of straight track are for cars that extend beyond any current drawing cars when the end of the train approaches the sensing track segments. Thus if you need a straight run of more then a couple feet you will need more straight reversing track pieces. When I read the description of six pieces of straight track I assumed there would be more straight track run provided. Overall a great little addition.

Pictures Are Deceiving
Picture on box and instruction booklet calls out six pieces of 9" straight track. Only four in the box, no room for two more. After assembly the trolley went to one end, timed out and returned to the other end of the track as intended but, on the other end the trolley stopped very close to the bumper and did not return. Found one of the rails in one of the straight pieces was purposely split and isolated from each other. (Trolley ran past the split and stopped.) May have been made for the controller cable but never finished. Per instructions, track assembly was correct. Boxed up an returned.
