Works Great. Understand that all parts are unique to Auto-Reversing System. No Mix and Match

Since the reviews on this have been all over the place, I waited for a price reduction to purchase the N-Scale version of this Auto-Reversing system from Bachmann. I can say that this track set up exceeded my low expectations. I have had this special DC transformer powered system on my layout for about a week now and very happy with it. It you have other Bachman N-scale track or power supply, you need to know that all of this track and transformer are all completely different in every regard. I am speculating here, but I believe that some people have mixed and matched parts of this auto-reversing system with other Bachman parts and products. Bottom line is you can't do it. Others complain about not trolly included, which is true. It was not a surprise to me as Bachmann is clear about that on their packaging and Amazon product page. I have seen several U-tube videos on this product, but none of them clearly explained how different each of the parts are on this product to every other normal Bachmann DC or DCC product. Again, super happy with this product which compliments my N-scale DCC and DC layout. If asked about "I wish for" changes, I would like to be able to change the wait times at each end. Also, the lowest speed setting is a bit too fast for me as I'd like to make it a bit slower.

Works great with a Bachmann trolley bought separately. Fantastic with wife's' little Christmas village. Tracks cannot be added to other N-scale layouts, even Bachmann. Reversing track is not compatible with regular track. Not an issue for me but perhaps they should mention that up front. Cannot adjust stop time. It reverses every 2-3 seconds. I'd prefer to make it wait longer. The "B-B" track at the end of each run doesn't seem to be needed. The trolley stops after the nearly invisible track gap in the A-B track, which leaves a 6" opening before the bumper. I removed the "B-B" track sections and the train still reversed fine (this is against instructions). It gets real close to the bumper at top speed, but doesn't hit it. This is a great little train, I've done a lot of HO scale before and this is a good product.

Defective as Many Reviews Report
Got a defective set unfortunately like many reviews have been sharing. Everything looks fine but no engine runs on the track. The engines runs perfectly fine on a regular test track but just don't operate on the auto reverse set. I'm actually disappointed with how common these issues are and how the company hasn't done anything to resolve the issue. Also amazon is offering a $0 refund on the item as well unfortunately, no idea why but if you buy this and you get a defective set, you're really out of luck. Just avoid purchasing it. Bachmann customer support is absolutely useless, any attempt at contacting them sends you on a goose chase of who they want to blame and what should be done. They blame Amazon drivers for being too rough while handling the shipment being the reason for why "such delicate items are always damaged in transit." They'll then offer to replace whatever is defective as long as you can identify what is causing the issue and genuinely I don't know what's wrong with the set and they won't take the whole thing. It's an absolute nightmare.

Follow instructions for easy set up. Special auto reverse track is needed to expand the line. Regular track is not compatible.

What was disappointing with this set was the trolley did NOT come with it. Which cost quite a bit more. The Bachmann company said it was clearly marked on the front of the box - which is true but it is in FINE print which was NOT apparent in the Amazon listing for it. The seller seemed to know little about the product and markets a wide range of items. I think a couple more pieces of track would have been useful also. So far however this system has worked very well but the cats think it is a mouse type creature that should be chased so watch your cats.
