No derails!
These turnouts work great! I have not had any derailing issues since installing them in my (very small) layout. Wiring them to my basic (DC) Bachmann control pack took a little work, though, as the wires included are not designed to insert into the available AC power slots. Setting up the turnout involves cutting/breaking a piece off the included short curved track, so be prepared for a little prep time when installing them for the first time. Also, note that these are NOT power routing turnouts. That is, a locomotive will receive power no matter which position the turnout is set. This is great for DCC layouts, but may be an issue if you are trying to run multiple trains on a DC layout.

Misses the mark
Surprised at this one, these are usually decent. A) the point motor works only with the provided slider switch, which has simple electronics to stop it burning out the solenoid. It would be much more flexible as a center-off switch, lever or buttons, As it is, when using the switch supplied it cannot additionally be controlled any other way. B) more problematic, a rail meeting the frog is not the right height, off by maybe 1/8" making it very rough on the train and sometimes jams or derails. Very poor, needs grinding and filing. I expected better. Its on a seasonal track board, not fully fixed, ill be reminded next Christmas!

#4 Turnout
The turnout works as intended however there is a design flaw in the track. The turnout and straight section stops side by side which prevents connecting track to the ends without cutting away some of the road bed on the pieces you wish to attach. The turnout section should be longer like all of the other turnouts to correct this problem.
