Tough rechargeable RC car with lights and 24-metre range.
This is a great toy. It's robust, with a front bumper and squashy tyres. Good suspension on back and front gives it a good ride over textured ground. The handheld remote control takes a bit of getting used to, which is the same for all RC models. Your forefinger controls forward or back movement, a rotary thumb control changes direction right or left. I found it easier to use two hands for control as trying to move forward and turn right or left confused my muscles! After about half an hour of practice I could confidently drive the car without crashing it into object. Younger drivers might take longer. The set of car and controller also comes with two 1000mAh Li-Ion battery packs (1 spare), a 45cm USB charging cable with special connector for the batteries (which needs to be looked after as it's not a common type), a small screwdriver (for opening the car's battery compartment) and an illustrated multilingual Instruction Manual. The hand controller needs to be powered by two AA alkaline batteries which aren't included. I like the requirement to use a screwdriver to open the car battery compartment, which avoids the possibility of batteries falling out by mistake. Lithium batteries need to be handled by adults in my view. The car only has one speed and goes quite fast. It reacts quickly to changes in direction so can be nimble in the hands of a confident driver. It can be stopped quickly by going into reverse. The LED headlights are bright and do help with navigating around obstacles like furniture. The two batteries are claimed to provide up to an hour of action between them. They do take quite some time to recharge though. The packaging is clearly marked with both UKCA and CE logos to show that the product complies with UK and European toy and electrical safety standards. For the price of just under £27 I think the value is fair. The controller's design is unusual but works well with practice. The plastic materials are typical of this type of moulded toy and seem tough. It's a simple toy but provides lots of fun.

Remote Control Racer
Fab toy for £26.99. This HABUDDY 2.4gHZ REMOTE CONTROL CAR looks great and is very fast. The car measures 9"x 6", I think its a solid little car, very stylish too. The remote feels light weight, to get the AA batteries in it you have to press the button and then slide the cover off. It comes with two car batteries, so you just need to AA batteries for the remote. The wheels are chunky rubber/plastic. It is a little hard to control but given a little time you soon learn. Its made for kids to have fun and is an all terrain vehicle so even better to whizz over hills etc. I think its a super little car, ideal for age 6+

Not recommended! Far too expensive for what it is.
???? Build & Functionality Build quality is pretty poor for the price. Made from cheap, light, plastic it doesn’t feel very robust and looks cheap. The controller is also made from similar quality plastic and feels light and hollow. Controlling the car is fairly difficult as there is so little movement in the steering wheel. Battery doesn’t last very long. For the price I would’ve expected a lot more. ✅ Pros • My sons got enjoyment from it ❌ Cons • Poor build quality • Hard to control • Slow • Battery life is poor • Expensive ???? Verdict Not recommended! Far too expensive for what it is.

My cat's arch nemesis
I got this for my "son"... who is 50+ years old and is me. The advertised 20+ KM/H is not a suggestion; it's a threat, especially in a hallway. My cat now believes a tiny four wheeled demon lives under the sofa, and my skirting boards have achieved a 'distressed' look I didn't ask for. The shock absorbers are less for bumps and more for surviving its passionate affair with every chair leg in the house. There is a second Li-ION battery allowing you to continue your reign of terror while the first one recharges. It's fast, chaotic, and the most fun I've had with something that costs less than a tank of petrol. It's not the most sturdily built Remote Control Car as it's quite plasticky, but basic however rugged looking, so my reign of terror might not last very long. But the price is sweeter than a honey tasting picnic with Winnie the Pooh. 5/5 stars. The cat has left the flat now.

Affordable Remote Control Racing
This 1:18 scale Habuddy Remote Control Car is very much at the budget end of the market given that some can be £200 plus these days. This one sticks to the basics with 4 shock absorbers, some rather weak LED headlights and rubber tyres. The vehicle is a generic buggy design rather than a specific model and it works on a standard 2.4 Ghz frequency. The remote offers the standard commands: backwards, forwards, right and left turns. Size wise it measures roughly 9 inches by 6 so on the small side, but it is very light although quite rugged whether you race it on grass, asphalt or sand. One downer is that the car requires 2 Li-ion batteries to power it and these are not included-so plan ahead if you want to buy it as a gift! The top speed is around 20km/h and if you want a relatively inexpensive intro car for a child to race this will meet your requirements.
