Fun, good quality, good price
I bought this as a birthday gift for my 5 year old daughter and it was such a hit that I ended up buying another for my 8 year old’s birthday a month later. The owl is really cute, seems to be sturdy and hard to break, and the paint seems to be waterproof when dry (although they have been left inside most of the time so that hasn’t really been tested). The only negative I can see is that I wish there were a couple more paint colors; however, the kids were able to mix their own so it wasn’t really an issue. I would definitely buy this, or the other rock pets, again.

Great Craft!
These are so much fun! Bought this for our three boys, ages 2.5, 6 and 10 - and all had a blast with them! The paint has held up to the sun and rain so far and the turtle itself seems pretty sturdy, as well. Adds a little color and fun to anyones garden and the kids love decorating the turtle and then the garden! Highly recommend for a fun craft to do with almost any age child.

Dissapointing
my husband and I purchased 13 of these for our grandchildren. We sent them to their homes to provide something different and memories to make while we are all isolated due to the virus. Seven of these kits so far had dried up paint. I have not yet contacted the rest but this is really a disappointment after the exciting phone calls from those grandkids happy to receive the kits and anxious to start painting on Saturday. I just called our son's family in Italy to let them know as theirs will not arrive until April 1st. It was an awesome idea but very frustrating for all involved. The rocks are cute and IF (which has not been the case so far) all recipients have paint of their own, it ends up as a good time for all.

i love these
i dont care what other reviewers think i love these. so far my 2 year old has painted this to gift as gifts for mothers day and a turtle she gave to my husband for fathers day. since i have a 2 year old and she mixes the colors on everything and things come out brown or black, i cut 3 of the paints and gave it to her. on one of the frogs she made i cut the blue green and white and let her got to town on it and it came out really cute. i had her paint it on a paper plate and put a old t shirt on her cause the paint doesnt come off. i got some google eyes and glued them on and it looks really cute. its a nice rainy day project to do. its a great buy

The turtle is adorable, but it is not made of stone and paint is not really weatherproof.
The turtle is adorable, but it is not made of stone. It is a hollow stone looking plaster-like material. It will break if dropped. The turtle is about the size of my hand. The set does come with weatherproof paint: Please note: The weatherproof paint does stain. You will want to supervise, protect your work area and adhere to the recommended ages of 8 and up. We protected our counter with cardboard. To do it again, I would have them make them outside. We don't have them outside. The are an indoor decoration for now. We sprayed them with a clear acrylic finish. I will update with pics when they dry! Great price point and the kids had fun.

Great gift from little ones
This was perfect for my two year old to gift his grandma for Christmas. He had so much fun painting it and she loved it. It’s nice quality and there is plenty of paint. I don’t know how weather proof it is, but it’s currently in her garden so we’ll find out. Paints easily wash off little hands. Would recommend.

Simple, cute, and lots of fun
I bought this as a gift for my sister. Now this little guy lives in our mother's garden. It's a fun project for any age. I will buy one for my younger cousin as well. Light weight and easy to paint. Note: we already had some acrylics paint. My sister used both the ones we had at home and some of the ones in the package. The paints it came with also work really well.

Good “rock” terrible paint
The “stone” isn’t rock solid but also isn’t just plastic. Hard to explain BUT it does a great job with being painted on. It doesn’t absorb it yet the paint sticks to it very well. That being said, the paint it comes with is just awful. 100% dried out upon arrival. No saving it at all. The included brush is fine but you will need your own paint.

Fun craft
Bought this as a father’s day craft for the kids and they had a lot of fun painting. The paint had dried out and was unusable, but that wasn’t a big deal because I was planning on using washable paint anyways.
