Such a cute an adorable costume! My son puts it on nightly as a fun dress up costume after bath time. He is 4 and is able to put it on by himself. The sward is a hard but still flexible foam that is perfect for my 4 and 2 year olds to play with. They love it! The quality is fantastic just like most all M&D costumes.

I was REALLY nervous buying this for my seven yr old for his knights and princesses day at school around Halloween time but it turned out PERFECT! He is around 50-55lbs or so. Feels very durable, glad I chose Melissa & Doug instead of a other brand

Awesome dress up for the KNIGHT wannabe in your life
My daughter loves to play dress up and is usually a princess, but she decided she wanted to be a knight someday so we bought this for her birthday. She was DELIGHTED by the costume! The outfit is cute as can be and fits her well. She also loves the sword and shield. This is a terrific product, quality is high.

Loved by my kids and their friends
I bought two of these costumes for my 4-year-old twins. They look absolutely adorable in them. I love that the hood has velcro all the way down, otherwise it might not go over my son's head. It also fits my 8-year-old, although I have to leave the top Velcro undone, and now she wants her own costume. There are three other kids on our street between the ages of four and nine, and they'll all play out in the yard with them.

Needs help to dress
The costume fit my skinny tall 7 year old - we just could not velcro the top fastener right under the chin in order to leave enough space for the face opening. The overall costume had plenty of room and I think my son can still wear it for a few years to come. The outfit needs some help to put on as the velcro for the shirt is in the back - where kids cannot reach. If you have multiple children then they could help each other, but if you have an only child, then your kid will need assistance or to wear it backwards. Overall its a nice play outfit for our dress up box.
