Very nice scissors for seniors and arthritis sufferers
I’ve been looking for some little stocking stuffers for my mother, and these loop scissors caught my eye. She’s been having greater difficulty with arthritis over the past few years, and it’s sometimes hard for her to use normal scissors. These seemed like a great option. I initially worried that they’d be difficult to use, but they operate nicely when you squeeze any part of the handle or loop. They do take a little more strength to close than normal scissors, but it’s dispersed over the whole hand rather than just the index finger and thumb. They open back up automatically with no effort at all, but that also means the blades are always in the open position when stored. The blades are sharp and cut well, though they’re smaller than most people are used to. They work well with paper, but can struggle with heavier materials like cardboard or fabric, depending on the thickness. The loop also makes them a bit harder to maneuver than regular scissors, but I think it’s an acceptable trade-off. It also makes a perfect built-in hanger. At $16.99 for a set of six, they’re priced well compared to most similar scissors I’ve seen on Amazon. It never hurts to shop around a little, but I’m very happy with this set. My rating: 4.5 stars

Nice for students
I came across these and ordered them for my class. I work with children who often have fine motor delays and these have helped them be more successful when trying to cut. Many of the students can squeeze scissors down but not open them back up and these looped scissors open back up for them. Even the PT and OT were excited about them so I shared a few pairs with them as I have a small class. I just wish these was a little lip where their hands stop close to the scissors. For the ones with smaller hands and less control, their fingers kept sliding closer and closer to the blades and they would need help repositioning the scissors in their hands. Other than that, they have worked great! They are made very well and it is so nice to give them a little more independence.

Need lesser stiffness
It works, but I felt this could be more polished. The spring could have a lesser stiffness, you're actually putting more effort than using a plain scissors. I am comparing this to a thread snipper and it is less straining over time. It still cut paper, cardboard, and such but I will prefer if it require that much spring.

These are not mini! - maybe the cutting part it!
I thought these would be geared for small hands. Not at all! I have normal size hands for a woman and the bottom where you would hold to cut, barely fit in my hand. The cutting part is extremely sharp. Beyond what I would like for my preschooler or kinder to use. When I ordered them I thought they would be about the size of an embroidery scissor. Impressed for the overall construction and the sharpness, maybe for an adult with mobility issues, but not for the kiddos. And definitely not training scissors.
