I am really liking this
So, a bit of background first. RC planes are a new hobby for me, this is the first model I have started to build. However I am an electro mechanical engineer, so I am using my day job skills to fill in the modelling skills I lack So, a bit of an edit..... I am just finishing the paint job, and other than some wrinkles in the tail covering (my fault, still.learning) I am super happy. Up to now, I really like what I see. The materials seem to be excellent. The quality of the laser cutting is good. Some components are not cut right through. It would appear that the cutting speed was a little too fast. However this is better than having the wood burned. Just ensure your knife is sharp and you take your time. Some of the images in the manual are not always at the best angle for ease of viewing. Sometime you have to try and focus on the fine details that you can see, just to be able to ensure the correct part is in the correct orientation. The biggest problem I have found up to now is that some of the parts are miss-identified in the manual. For example, in the second photo, the manual specifies 1xF17 and 2xF16. The reality is that the parts required are 1xF16 and 2xF17. So read the manual, compare images carefully, take your time. Other than that, this definitely is an awesome model kit. The miss-labelling and the quality of the images are the reason for the four stars. The quality of the model deserves five stars at least I reckon that I am only a few days away from my first flight...... Other than the final painting and a bit of simulator time before I give my first RC build a trial flight......
